After 4 years comes now "Sehnsucht" (longing) the long expected 10th studioalbum, which will be released on May 8th 2009. Why longing – longing is one of those powerful emotions that enable the individual to develop and to feel – not without reason has LACRIMOSA sung of it in various situations in the past. If, on the other hand, one wishes to consider the subject in all its facets, if one wishes to take it as the focus of attention and examine it from all sides, more is needed than the mere mention of the word itself. And this is the way this album has been put together: in ten compositions, ten facets of longing are put to music.
