Brooklyn based outfit Cruel Black Dove have been making their own brand of dark electronic Lynch-esque rock since 2007. Comparisons to PJ Harvey, Garbage, Placebo, Curve and Depeche Mode aren't inappropriate, but Cruel Black Dove are still a force of their own, full to the brim with infectious sound and fury. Singer Anastasia Dimou has an impressive stage presence and vocal ability that meshes well with the skilled playing of her bandmates.Although the band only formed last year, if they continue cranking out the darkwave blues numbers, they're sure to be a hit.
