Nikko Patrelakis



Nikko Patrelakis lives and works in Athens Greece. His style is in the electronica-Nu Jazz genre, his records have been released not only in Greece, but also in UK, France, Germany, US and lately in Japan.

In 1999 he co-wrote "Voice" with Paul McCartney that was presented by Heather Mills for the support of the people with kinetic disabilities. He also composed and produced 3 pieces of music for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Athens 2004, performed by him and London Philharmonic Orchestra.

As a Dj, he participated in the initiation of clubs like X-club, Factory, +Soda in Athens and Cavo Paradiso in Mykonos, and as resident or guest Dj he played in several clubs in Greece and UK.

He composed and produced the soundtrack of “Hostage”, directed by Constantine Giannaris, which was the official Greek participation in the Panorama of the Berlinale 2005. The film won the prize for the best direction in the Thessaloniki Film Festival 2005 and is candidate for the Helix Award of the European Film Academy.

The soundtrack was released, in April 2005, by Smallhouse Records, which Patrelakis started in 2003.

His record “TIME” stayed for 9 weeks in the official IFPI national top-50 and gathered excellent reviews from the press.
His latest record is called "echo"
