Julien-K is the brainchild of Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck of the multi-platinum rock group Orgy (remember their wicked take on New Order's Blue Monday?). As Orgy became more and more harder, Amir and Ryan needed an outlet for their love of electronica and thus Julien-K was born. The band later announced the addition of two new members, Brandon Belsky and Elias Andra, with a live line-up including Anthony “Fu” Valcic and Chester Bennington (of Linkin Park fame), who also produced their debut full-length album "Death to Analog" (due for release on March 10, 2009).Fusing the elements of dark electronic club music with styles of modern rock and pop, this debut provides a sweeping landscape of musical influences and themes that pull the listener into their world on first listen - a world where technology is fused with artistic expression in a way that hasn't been attempted before.
